The extortionate prices hitherto charged in Dunedin have led ns to investigate by experiment the various processes of making asphalt, with a view of reducing the charges on this industry, and we are happy to say that our labors have been rewarded with success. Wc are enabled to reduce the present price to 3s fid per yard. This wonderful change has been partly brought about by the discovery that the Chemical Elements of Asphalt are not of that expensive nature represented by the Firm who have been employed at this industry.
