This Day. IN BANKRUPTCY. (Before Mr Justice Chapman.) Discharges, In the following eases, there being no opposition, the usual discharge was granted : Henry J. Sproule, George Bond, Armand Angan, Samuel Finch. declarations of complete execution. i Deed of arrangement between the undermentioned p.er ons and their respective creditors were declared- to have been completely executed ;—William M‘La*eu Robert Clenahan, Hugh Kirkpatrick and Walter { Wright. adjudications. John Naylcn, Alex. Wahlquest, Andrew Chapman. Alex. Fraser, Louis Schmidt, and Alex. M*Vicar were adjudged bankrupts. OPPOSED CASES. Re George Whybrow. The bankrupt and a witness named Johnston were examined. Ilia Honor said, according to the ■ trustee’s report, the bankrupt appear.-d to carried on business since the commencement w-i-Ji really nothing at all. He took the Golden Ff.it ?e Hotel, at Waikouaiti, from Mr Wain, for fine (price of 1.915. He gave L 350 in cash and bills for In order to secure these bills, he granted a , hill of sale to Mr Wain, which was to enable him to come in and sweep everything away. Then the property was sold, leaving nothing to the creditors—according to Mr Harris’s fetajtnment, not oven enough to pay Mr Wain. ! He (t£e Icfrijod Judge) thought this was reckless conduct, aud jjc must deal with it iu the same way as Re h<yf. dealt yith similar cases before. The bankrupt's ccmicate j would he suspended for six months. | His Honor mentioned he would hear argn meats on the question of costs in re Regina v. Bagley to-morrow.
