WASTE LAND BOARD.

This Day. The Waste Land Board met at noan to-day, Present-The Chief Commissioner of Waste Lands, Messrs Reid, Duncan, and Hughes. Constable Hunt’s objections to Mr Spencer’s valuation of his improvements in Arrowtown, were considered, and the valuation was approved. Messrs Connell and Moodie’s application on behalf of J. R. Barett, for a lease of 10 acres for a coal working, was approved. The survey to be made by the applicant. The rent to be LI per acre. The price of coal at the pit’s mouth to be 12s per ton. Sections in Lawrence reserved for a Wesleyan Chapel, but not taken up, were directed to be offered for sale. Plans of Bloc? 2, Tuapeki Road, and Section 1, Block 5, Warepa, were approved.
