(FROM OUlt OWN CORRESPONDENT.) ■Wellington, September 13, Parliament was prorogued till the 11th of October with great pomp, amid incessant rain. The Government got power to borrow half-a-million at higher rates of interest, in consequence of the war news. The Traquair Hundreds Bill has been thrown out. The Southern members leave by the Taianald, the Northern by the Phoebe, to-day. Mr Haughton asked the Premier why the tecs of the Mayor’s Court in Dunedin went into the Treasury of the Municipality, and not as elsewhere. 7 He was answered that the matter was still pending the decision of the Government.
