\ (from our own correspondent.) Napier, September 5. Arrived—Harmon, from Lyttelton. Sailed—Aurora and Aquila for Lovuka; Thomas Daniels for Newcastle. Mr G. W. Binney reports that wheat is very scarce at from 4s 9cl to 55.; oats, 3s Bcl to 3s 9d ; feed barley, 3s 6d; malting, 4s id to 4s Gd; cheese, 81-tl to 9d ; butter, overstocked. Glassworks have been established here. The sitting of the Native Land Court at Ohinemuri was stopped by two old women; but the judge and party afterwards returned. Letters from Waikato state that preparations for a Native meeting at Tokangamutu are proceeding. Seven hundred Natives, including Tito Kowaru, are expected to attend. The question of permitting inland telegraphs is to be discussed; but this requires confirmation. The chief Monanui has joined the King party. Thames, Shares in the Caledonian sell at L2O, with a rising tendency; Long Drives, LIO, with a clown ward tendency.
