(FROM our own correspondents.) Auckland via Nelson, August 30. The perpetrators of the great watch robbery at the Thames have been arrested. The Golden Crown Company have declared a dividend of L 25. A fire occurred on board the ship Excelsior. Damage was done to the amount of LfiOO. The ship was insured in three offices, the New Zealand, Pacific, and Southern. The prospectus of a paper mill has been issued at Auckland. Mr and Mrs Steele are playing to crowded houses. The Rangatira is loading cattle for Waitari. A yard broke and fell on one of the crew, whose life is in danger. Two passengers were dangerously hurt.
The Phoebe arrived from Auckland this morning, having been bar-bound at Manakau, from the 21 th to the 27th.
The Maori king wishes for a general peace. He has invited a meeting of chiefs at Ngarnawahia. Lieut. Innes, of the Commissariat department, has been committed for trial for embezzlement.
