(from our owx correspondents. ) . WELLINGTON, August 26. The University ,Bill finally passed the House of Representatives in its integrity to-day. [The above telegram was received last night, but too late for publication.] August 27. The New Zealand University Bill has passed its third reading. The Canterbury amendments were all rejected. The Bankruptcy Act is to be committed on Monday, but is not likely to pass without an amendment providing that uo new offices shall be created. Mr Vogel’s final declaration as to which railways the Government were prepared to proceed with before next session was very favorably received last night. cost of the Ban Francisco steam service, on Mr Macandrew’s motion, is limited to L 40,000, which will, in all probability be reduced to L 25,000 by contributions of L 15,000 from the Australian Colonies.
