Election Notice*. CITY AUDITOR. JL S. DOUGLAS, Is a Candidate for the Office, And respectfully solicits the Votes of the Ratepayers. TO THE ELECTORS AND RATEPAYERS OF LEITH WARD. GENTLEMEN,— In reply to vow requisition, I shall only be too nappy to be at your service, and to allow myself to be nominated as a candidate for Leith Ward, and should you place me in the honorable position of your representative in the City Council, I shall think it my duty to do all that lies in my power to forward your interest. It is now about eight years since I was a member of the Town Board, and afterwards a member of the City Council. Since then, I have been Inspector of City Works ; so, Gentlemen, for seven full years I have been connected with the welfare of the City. While 1 have been Inspector, if I have offended any one, I hope they will look over it, as no one should blame a person for doing his duty ; and should I be elected I shall always feel it my duty to attend to the interest of the ratepayers of the Citv in general.
