[FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Invercargill, July 27. The sitting of the Supreme Court is over, Mary Ann M‘Coy, charged with an attempt to poison, was acquitted. George Meredith, for uttering forged cheques, was sentenced to two years hard labor. In bankruptcy—W. J. Edwards's final order was suspended for twelve months. Arrived—Cora, Russell, from Oamaru, Dagmar, Smith, from Dunedin. A movement is on foot to get up a cavalry corps. The weather has changed to good.
