PORT CHALMERS.
The nomination of councillors, in the room of those retiring by rotation took place at the Town Hall at noon to-day. There were a good number of ratepayers present. There being no opposition, the following candidates were declared duly elected : Mr Ennis, East Ward. Mr Clarke, Middle Ward. Mr Gordon, South Ward. Mr D. M'Callum, High Ward.
Mr Kettle and Mr K. Toms, auditors, were also duly elected, without opposition.
