[from our ow correspondent.] Hokitika, June The Dunedin is ashore. It is expected she will come oil in a tide or two. The appointment of Mr Ward to the judgeship is denied by the AttorneyGeneral. Kaipoi, May 27. The pilot reports tluit a ketch, supposed to be the Tolly, has capsized on the bar. The Folly left Lyttelton today with a cargo of timber, in company with the Margaret, which latter arrived here at 2 pun. The crew of the Folly consisted of two men who are supposed to be drowned. Wellington, May 27. The news from the Wairau diggings is not very encouraging. Many diggers have returned to Blenheim. Little but the color was found. The auriferous nature of the country is indisputable, but requires much industry and capital to work it. The creek has been well tried by Havelock men,
