The firm of Gregg and Co., Auckland, has dissolved, Mr Naughton, who for the last sixteen years has been the head of the police department here, has retired frpm service. A grand presentation is to be made to him. A man Cpleman broke his neck last night by falling down an embankment. Mr W. W. Wilson, barrister, is insolvent. Mr and Mrs Darrell (Mrs Heir) leave here for Dunedin next week. A criminal action for libel is going pn, in which the editor of the Everting Star is complainant and the proprietors of the Morning Advertiser defendants. Mr mid Mrs Roberts have sailed for Sydney, per Kate.
