This Day. (Before A. C. Strode, Esq./R.M.) Civil Cases, Eyre, on behalf of the Trustees for the Sanclymount Local Road Board, v. Robinson. —A claim for L 8 Bs. The defendant endeavored to show that he had not been legally served with notice of assessment. From the evidence it appeared that he had been served with a notice of the amount of assessment, and that he had appealed, a-; d had had it reduced. His Worship considered the objections to payment of the rate frivolous and vexatious, aud that the officer had done all required by the law. Judg* ment for the amount claimed with costs. Same v. Macdonald. A claim for L.3 7s 6d for road rates. The defendant offered a string of opinions founded on misconception of the provisions of the Ordinance, that the proceedings of the General and Local Road Board were illegal. Judgment for the plaintiff for the amount claimed with costs. Edmond v. Sheddon—L3 3s. Judgment for the plaintiff by default. Hay v. Rogers.—lss for balance of account for poods supplied. Judgment by default for plaintiff for the amount. Gordon v Dryden. —L2 10s for mopey ]enfc. The defendant adipijjed the debt. Judgment by consent was given for the amount. Christian Bailee v. F.
