MAYOR’S COURT.
Tins Day. (Before his Worship the Mayor.) DRUNK AND DISORDERLY. The following penalties were adjudged for this offence to the persons named : —Edward Thomas, bail forfeited; Malcolm Martin, 10s, or 24 hours; James Watson, 10s, or 24 hours; Charles Bruce, 20s, or 48 hours; Alary Allen, in addition to being drunk, for wilfully destroying property, three months’ imprisonment. ASSAULT. John McGavin, charged with assaulting and beating his wife, was ordered to give bond in L2O and two sureties in LIO each, for his good behaviour, or to be imprisoned one month. INFORMATIONS BY THE INSPECTOR OF NUISANCES. The following persons were fined the amounts specified for the offences charged;— John Thompson, damaging the property of the Corporation, 10a; John Windmore, allowing water to flow over the footpath, ss; William Colgan, dismissed ; Alexander Mee, neglecting to clean his premises, ss; Thomas Cleary, do, 20; John Mitchell, do, dismissed; George Metcalf, do, ss, without costs; P. Barker, water in his cellar, adjourned; James D. Hutton, adjourned.
