V The Gazelle of yesterday announces' that Mr Robert Campbell, ol Otekaikc, and Captain Thomas Eraser, of Inglewood, have been called to the Legislative Council. The Governor refuses to assent to the “ Dunedin Reserves Management Ordinance.” Mr B, R, Baird has been appointed Receiver of Gold Revenue at C.iomwell. Great satisfaction is felt here at the course adopted by the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce in supporting Mr Collie. The injuries to the Beautiful Star are not very serious.
