MAILS CLOSE— For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per s.s. Taranaki, on Saturday, the 14th inst., at 1.30 p.m. For Northern Provinces of New Zealand, per s.s. Rangatira. on Monday, the 16th May, at 2 p.m. For Oamaru, j)er p.s. Wallace, on Tuesday, the 17tk inst., at 8.45 a.m. For Melbourne, Australian Colonies, snd Southland, per s.s. Tararua, on Tuesday, the 17th inst., at 1.30 p.m. N.B.—As this steamer cannot be expected to reach Melbourne in time for the P. and O. Company’s boat to Galle. no European or Foreign mails will be despatched. Mails for tho United Kingdom, via Ban Francisco, will be despatched per s.s. Airedale on Sun lay, the 29th inst, ARCH, BARR, Chief Postmaster, Chief Post Office. Dunedin, May 13,1870.
