THE Adjutant will make his Monthly Inspection of the Companies in tho following order, at 7.30 p.m.:— No. 1 City Guards, Monday, the 9th May. South District Rifles and Waikari, Thursday, the 12th, in Mr Barr’s Paddock. Dunedin Naval, Friday, the 13th May. Bruce Hifles, Monday, the 16th May. East Taieri Rifles, Wednesday, 18th May. West Taieri Rifles, Thursday, 19th May. Dunedin Artillery, Friday, 20th May. Port Chalmers Naval, Friday, 27th May. No. 2. Wednesday, the 24th inst., being 'the anniversary of her Majesty’s Birthday, the Volunteers will parade in full dress in front of the Custom House at 9 o’clock a.m., to Area feu-de-joie ; each man will be furnished with three rounds of blank, the Artillery will be provided with twenty-one rounds of practice ammunition. The Band will be in attendance. The Dunedin Naval Brigade will fire a salute at 12 noon. The District Prizes will be presented after the salute has been fired. No. 3.
