MAYOR’S COURT.
This Dat. (Before bis Worship the Mayor and W. H, Valpy, Esq., J.P.) DRUNKARDS. William Mitchell not appearing had his bail forfeited Annie Lockwood, an old offender, went to gaol for a fortnight, not being able to pay the fine of L 5 which was imposed. Alice Hawley was sent to gaol for a fortnight, for being a habitual drunkard. BREACHES OF THE BYE-LAWS, Joseph Hughes for having no name on his dray was lined 20s and costs, and a similar penalty was imposed on Henry Clater for allowing a dangerous dog to be at large. Duncan Cameron was fined 10s for allowing two goats to be at large, and James Darrak was fined 10s and costs for allowing cows to wander. A charge of casting manure on Athol place, preferred against Joseph Bukin, and one of having a dray in Rattray street preferred against James M'Farreu, were dismissed. Frederick Wain was fined 10s and costs for not having his skittle alley licensed.
