Lyttelton : May 3, 8.10 a.m., Lord Ashley from Dunedin ; 8.20 a.m, Rangitoto, from Dunedin. SAILED. Lyttelton : May 4th, 11.20 a.m, Airedale for Dunedin. The Wallace from Oamam arriued at 4,45 this afternoon. The brigantine Ottawa arrived in the roadstead yesterday morning. She sailed from Port Chalmers on Sunday, the 24th, and on Monday bight was within fifteen miles of Timaru. During the night the wind freshened into a stiff S.W, gale, increasing towards Inoming. At ten a,m. Tuesday, the tiller Was carried away ; rigged a temporary one, and at one: p.m. shipped a very heavy sea, washing the galley, stoves, and all utensils overboard. The long boat was also stove. The gale moderated, however, towards Wednesday morning, and since then experienced light air and calms. —Gladstone Gazette, May 2nd.
