MAILS CLOSE— For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per s.s. Ahuriri, on Wednesday, the 4th instant, at 1.30 p.m. ForTimara, Akaroa, Lyttelton, Christchurch, Hokitika, and Greymoutb, per s.s. Maori, on Wednesday, the 4th inst., at 4.30 p.m. Per s.s. Gothenburg, on Thursday, the sth inst,, as under For India, China, Ceylon, Singapore, &c., at 12 noon. For Southland, the Australian Colonies (except Melbourne) and London via Southampton, at 1 p.m. For London via Brindisi, London via Marseilles, and Melbourne, at 1.15 p.m. Late letters, &c., may be posted till 1,30 p.m. For the United Kingdom, 6d per letter, for America, &c., one additional single rate per letter, N.B.— It should be observed that letters intended for transmission by this route, should be addressed specially “ via Suez.” ARCH.
