MAYOR’S COURT.
This Day. (Before his Worship the Mayor, and W. A. Tolmie, Esq., J.P.) DRUNK AND DISORDERLY. The following sentences were passed on persons charged with being drunk and disorderly :—James Quid, alias James Owens, discharged ; Charles Donelly, a habitual drunkard, L 5, or fourteen days’ imprisonment ; William Clasper, discharged; Sami. Symms, 40s, or forty-eight hours—on a further charge of assaulting Constable Coneys in the execution of his duty, L 5, or fourteen days; William Brown, 20s, or forty-eight hours ; Thomas Blake and Bernard Duffy, L 5 each, or fourteen days; Samuel Goldie, hail forfeited; Annie Hamilton, three months’ imprisonment; John Brown, 10s, or twenty-four hours; Joseph Dickenson, 40s, or seven days ; Andrew Johnston, 10s, or twenty-four hours.
OFFENCE AGAINST THE BYE-LAWS. Henry Pearce, for hawking without a license, was fined 20s.
