MAYOR'S COURT.

This Day. (Before his Worship the Mayor, and Captain Fraser, J.P.) DRUNK AND DISORDERLY, The following penalties were imposed for drunkenness and disorderly conduct upon the persons to whose names they are attached William Esres, ‘2os or 24 hours’ imprisonment ; Walter Scott, L 5 or 14 days ; James Heywood, 10s or 24 hours'; Kate Farra, 14 days’ imprisonment ; Samuel Stevens, 14 days’; Mary Jarvey, 14 days ; Annie Mansfield, 14 days. STEALING. Charles H. Wilson alias Henry Stuart, for stealing a saddle from the stable of Alex. MTlroy, value L 8 10s, was sentenced to 4 months’ imprisonment with hard labor. CHARGE or HIGHWAY ROBBERY. Thomas Keating, alias Richard. Keenan, alias Dublin Dick, on remand, was farther remanded for seven days. OFFENCES AGAINST THE BYE-LAWS. Summonses were preferred against the persons named for the oftences charged, and they were fined as follows : Archibald Gibbs, cab driver, standing with his cab off the stand appointed, and Thomas Power and Thomas Hughes, charged with the same offence, were each fined ss, without costs; William Stronach, allowing impure water to flow from his premises, dismissed ; William Asher, on a similar charge, 20s and costa ; J. Tyrie, neglecting to clean his premises, os and costs ; F. L. Mueller, on a like charge, dismissed.
