Tins Day. (Before his Worship the Mayor, and G. G. Russell, Esq., J.P.) DRUNK AND DISORDERLY. John Munrowas charged with this offence The case was dismissed. James White, an old offender, was lined 40s, or three days imprisonment; Bridget Fane L 5, or fourteen days. SLY-GROG SELLING. •Tohn Colehan, charged by Constable Ryan with selling two classes of gin in an unlicensed house on the Port Chalmers road, was fined L 5 and costs. ESCAPED PRISONER. Thomas Keating, alias Richard Keenan, alias “ Dublin Dick,” was charged with robbing at Greymouth, and escaping from gaol at Hokitika. The prisoner was apprehended by Detective Farrell, from whom he endeavored to escape. He was remanded for a week. INFORMATION BY THE INSPECTOR OF NUISANCES. J. C. Roberts, for neglecting to clean his premises, was fined 10s and costs.
