The English telegrams arrived per Hero on the 25th. The Auckland Morning Advertiser, Shoril-and Times, Auckland caui Thames Leader , and Graham’s Town Star are defunct. The proprietor, Mr Shaw, is bankrupt. Intelligence has been received from the East Coast, that Major Ropata, the Ngatiporou chief, has captured fifty Hauhaus, and found remains of three bodies at Hungaroa. Ho captured Pukeroa pa in the Uriwera country, and has started in pursuit of Te Kooti. A rich find of gold has been made in the Scottish Lease at Tararu. The ground has been rushed. Mr Maclean has gone to the East Coast.
