A CORRECTION.

To the Editor of the Evening Star. Sir, — Having read the assault case of H. J. George in to-day’s Star, and finding that your reporter has made a gross mistake in his report, by stating that I said my wife was unfaithful, I beg to contradict the same, not having said anything of the kind. What 1 stated was that my wife was given to drink, and that I could not get her to attend to her domestic duties ; hoping you will contradict the same in your next issue, and oblige yours, &c. Henry J. George. March 19th, 1870.

[Our reporter states that the statement Mr George now contradicts was in effect made by him on the occasion referred to.— Ed. E. B'.]
