CRICKET.
The mstch between the first elevens of the Citizens’ and Albion Clubs was played on the Dunedin ground to-day. The last-men-tioned team went to the wickets first. For the first half-hour their prospects were not encouraging ; no less than six wickets having fallen for 15 runs. From that point they pulled up amazingly, the innings terminating for 5-1 runs. Goudie played a remarkably good innings of 19 runs. The first innings of the Citizens terminated for 22 runs, the fielding of their opponents being very praiseworthy. In the second innings the Albion got 44, Little playing a good innings (and not out) for 15. At four o’clock the Citizens went in for their second innings. AMMON. First Innings.
