Te Kooti is reported to have taken a pa in the neighborhood of Opotiki, and killed some women and children of the Friendly Natives. Kemp and Topia are said to be close on Te Kooti’s position. Christchurch, Friday. A shoak of earthquake was experienced here at 11.25 p.m. last night. No damage was done.
