MAILS CLOSE — For Oamaru, per p. s. Wallace, on Friday, the 18th inst., at 8.45 a.m. N.B,—Mails for the United Kingdom and other places via Suez will be despatched from this office about the 19 th inst. In future all ooorespondense for the United Kingdom and the Continent of Europe, via London, intended for transmission by this route must be addressed “ via Suer.” N.B.—Mails for the United Kingdom, the Continent of Europe, the "West Indies and America via San Francisco, will leave Port Chalmers about the 2oth inst. The rates of postage for the United Kingdom will be the same as those via Suez and Southampton. In future, all correspondence not specially addressed will be sent via San Francisco. ARCH.
