MAILS CLOSE — For Northern Provinces of New Zealand, per b.s. Phcebe, on Monday, ti.e 14th instant, at 10.30 a. in. . For Oamaru, Timara, Akaroa, Lyttelton, Christchurch, Hokitika, and Greymouth, pers.s. Wainui, on Monday, the 14th inst., at 3.30 p.m. For Oamaru, per p.s. Wallace, on Tuesday, the 15th inst., at 8.45 a.m. Registered letters, money orders, and newspapers, one hour previous. N.B.—Mails for the United Kingdom, the Continent of Europe, the West Indies and America via San Francisco, will leave Port Chalmers about the 25th inst. The rates of postage for the United Kingdom will be tho same as those via Suez and Southampton. In future, all correspondence not specially addressed will be sent via San Francisco, ARCH. BARK, Chief Postmaster, Chief Post Office. Dunedin, March 12. 1870.
