The profitable results' of the working o this Society up to the present time have induced the .belief that a new Society formed upon the same basis would be a favorite both with investors and borrowers. After mature consideration it has been determined, in place of establishing a new Society, to offer to the public a New Series of Shares in the existing Society. The chief advantage sought b} r that method is ECONOMY IN WORKING. The interests of the two Series of Shares will be distinct, but they cannot clash, and by placing them under the management of dhe Committee, and dividing between them, in proper proportions, the expenses of the '■'ociety, a very decided saving will be secured, and tbe winding up of each Series of vShares accelerated. Office : Exchange Chambers, Princes street. The satisfactory results Avhich have attended the operations of “The New Zealand Building and Mutual Investment Society,” during the past six years, have raised the shares to such a value that non-shareholders have experienced great 'difficulty in obtaining advances upon terms beneficial to themselves. The Provisional Directors have therefore considered that the present time is an exceedingly favorable one for starting a new Society, upon the same principles as have hitherto proved so successful in the working of the present one. The experience gained during the existence of the parent Society, and the recent legislatiA'e enactments on the subject, justify the Directors in fixing the Shares at LtiO, 1 making advances upon the security of the Shares of Members, proA'ision for Avhich Avill be made in the Rules.
