Contributions in money and goods will be thankfully received by the undermentioned ladies Mrs Fitchett, Mrs Massey, Mi's Coventry, Miss Towers, Mrs Calvert, Mrs De Carle, Mrs Haynes, Mrs Roberts, Mrs Tennet, Mrs Walker, Mrs Watson, Mrs Brodie, Airs Chapman, Mrs Thomson, Mrs Liggius, Mrs Adams, Mrs Hutton, Mrs Palmer, Mrs Beck. The Committee will also accept donations of poultry, live stock, farm produce, and articles of any description, for sale by auction.
Educational OTAGO SCHOOL OF ART. MR HUTTON, Provincial Drawing Master, will shortly open the following mentioned Drawing Classes in the New Post Office Building, Princes street, Dunedin : 1. A Class for Teachers and Pupil Teachr evs, upon Saturday, the sth March, 1870, at 11 o’clock a.m. All teachers, whether public or private, are invited to attend. Admis ■ sion free. 2. A Class for Girls, upon Monday, the 2Sth of February, IS7O. This class will meet from 2 till 4 o’clock p.m. upon Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Fee, 15s per quarter, of ten weeks. A Class for Pupils of the High School, upon Tuesday, the Ist of March, 1870. This class will meet from 3 till 4 o’clock p.m. upon Tuesdays and Thursdays. Admission free. Youths not attending any of the Government Schools will be admitted as pupils of this class on payment of a fee of 10s per quarter, of ten weeks. Arrangements will shortly be made for the teaching of Drawing, as far as practicable, in the District Schools, and for the opening of an Evening Drawing Class. English and European news. —The Mail, a paper containing the news, the principal leaders, a well-digested Summary and all interesting matter from Tin’ Time*. The newspaper hitherto known as The Treenhi;/ Mail, having become the property of the proprietors of The Times, is now published twice a week, under the title of The MuiL at the price of threepence per copy as heretofore. The days of publication will be Tuesday and Friday, and each paper will contain the nows and all matters of interest aypeariug in the three previous numbers of The Times, which will thus be rendered available, in a cheap and convenient form, for persons residing abroad or in the Colonics.
