MAILS CLOSE— For Oamaru, Timaru, Akaroa, Lyttelton, Christchurch, Hokitika, and Greymouth, per s.s. Wainui, on Friday, the 11th inst., at 3.30 p.m. For Northern Ports of Now Zealand, per s.s. Ahuriri, on Friday, 11th instant, at 9.30 a.m. Registered letters, money orders, and news papers, one hour previous. For Oamaru, per p.s. Wallace, on Friday, the 11th inst., at 8.45 a.m. The English and Foreign Mails will close at this office about the 20th inst. ARCH. BARR, Chief Postmaster.
