MR. M'ASLAN’S SCHEME.

To the Editor of the Evening Star, Sir, —Haring read with attention Mr Robert M‘Allan’s scheme for the acceleration of tlio mails to and from Great Britain, 1 beg to state, in confirmation of Mr M‘Aslan’s scheme, that I have frequently seen the patent slip in operation, and I fully believe that with this apparatus Mr M‘Aslan could carry out.his ideas. I need not speak of the beneficial results which this scheme carried out would confer, and especially on New Zealand. The scheme but requires to be known to be adopted, and I judge that the Chambers of Commerce, not only in Dunedin, but throughout this Colony, should give it their consideration. W. B. M. Dunedin, 7th January, IS7O.
