(To the Editor of the Evening Star.) Sir —Having perceived from your report of the examination recently held at the above school, that the names of several of the boys who received prizes are omitted—a mistake which arose through giving away the prizes on the day of examination, it being usual to set apart a special day for that purpose, I have prepared an amended list, a copy of which I subjoin, and w’ould thank you with your usual courtesy, to give it a comer in your widely circulated and deservedly popular paper. I might here add that the same omission, through a similar cause, occurred in the report which appeared in your contemporary, the T'mcs. —lam, &c., H, J. Srroxjle. December 24, 1860, First Division. —Wm. F. De Bazin, Ist prize, for map and general proficiency in all subjects taught ; David Poppelwell, Ist prize, for do do; J. W. Ejssenhardt, Ist prize, writing and book-keping; A. Henry, 2nd prize, arithmetic and dictation ; Patk. Deehan, 2nd prize, writing and general proficiency ; Fred. Holmes, 2nd prize, recitation and reading ; John Tierney, 2nd prize, writing and book-keeping; Albert Outram, 2nd prize, recitation and general good conduct ; Philip Walsh, 2nd prize, geography and spelling ; Wm. Blair, 2nd prize, do do. Second Division.— Thos. Deehan, Ist prize, general proficiency; Alex.
