RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
Yesterday. Adjourned Licensing Meeting. (Before A. C. Strode, Esq., R.M., and J. Fulton, Esq., R.M.) Samuel Crafts, Water of Leith Hotel. — The objection to this application having been withdrawn, the license was granted Francis Krull’s application for a license for a new hotel, to he called the Caledonian, was granted. Mr Hugh Crawford’s application for a bottle license was also granted. Mr Ward applied for a re-bearing of the application of F. 0 Brien, of the Munster Arms Hotel. The Bench considered the Licensing Act contained no provision for rehearing a case. Application refused.
This Day. Civil Cases, Dr ills and Herbert v. George Cameron.— No appearance of defendant. Judgment for plaintiff, L 25 4s 3.1. with costs. D. Miller v. Hall. —No appearance of defendant. Judgment for plaintiff, L2 5s 2d, and costs. A. and J. Mackfarlaue v. J. Fergnsson.— No ap; earance of defendant. Judgment for plaintiffs, L 5 2s 4d, with costs.
