HIGH SCHOOL FOR GIRLS.
The following letter was received by tb« Ladies’ Committee, for establishing a High School for girls, in reply to one enclosing recommendations and suggestions on the subject : “ Education Office, “Dunedin, Nov. 18, 1869. ‘ ‘ Dear Madam —I had the pleasure to submit your letter and other papers to a meeting of the High School Commission, which was held on the 16th inst. *f Your fetter was read, and I was instructed to convey the thanks of the Commissioners to yourself and the other ladies for the interest you have manifested, and the services you have rendered, in connection with the” subject of a Girls’ Upper School for Otago. ‘ ‘ I was also instructed to inform you that your letter and the other documents forwarded by you will receive careful consideration. “ I am, “ Very faithfully yours, “ John Hislop, Hon. Sec. H.S.C.”
