LATE ENGLISH NEWS.

The Argus publishes the following late telegrams via Brindisi, received by Renter and Co. : New York, Sept, 9. Dr James Kirk, civil surgeon of Zanzibar, has written a letter to the Bombay Government, stating that a caravan had arrived at Zanzibar on the 29th of August from the interior, bringing letters from Syced Medjid’s agent at Unyayemebe, in the Unyamwezi country to our brother, urging him to send another box of brandy, a white man having reached Ugirvi, and he thought the white man might pass by the Unyayemebe road between Ugirvi and the coast, which is open and safe for small bodies of men. Native messengers have also arrived, who say that Dr Livingstone is at Ugirvi, which is one month’s travelling distance from Unyayembe. Another caravan is expected to reach Zanzibar in a month. London, Sept. 17. Mr Price has been appointed solo liquidator of the Albert Assurance Company, and Mr Kirby, the managing director, has resigned. Mr Knox, the magistrate, of Marlborough street, fhas granted a summons against Mr Kirby and the other directors for conspiracy.
