(FROM OCR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Cromwell, Saturday. There have been new discoveries in the vicinity of Bendigo Gully, and a rush is reported. A distinct line of reef three miles from Colclough’s prospecting claim has been found. The lode is said to be three to four feet thick, with gold perceptible through stone which crops out from the surface.

The town is quiet, but there is some excitement at the reefs.
