RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
This Day. (Before A. C. Strode, Esq., R.M.) Civil Cases. Thomson v. Simpson.—Ll os for a bridle ami stirrup lost by the defendant. Judgment for plaintiff with costs. Same v, Anderson.—Llo 10s cn a promissory note, and 10s for meat supplied. Mr Harris for the defendant. 5* 6d was paid into Court, and on the promisssry note the signature was admitted, but in cousequence of the informality of hot having been made payable to Mr Lang, and not ‘‘ or order," it was rot negotiable. Judgment for the amount paid into Court, M'Laren v. Board man. —L2 2s 9d for groceries The defendant refused to pay, on the ploa that the amount claimed was for beer supplied in small quantities. The defendant is the holder of a bottle license. His Worship required the defendants’ daybook. Judgment for pbiinfciff. [Left sitting.]
