DUNEDIN ARTILLERY V. HON. ARTILLERY (LONDON). By this mail have been received the scores made by the No. 2 Company of the Honorable Artillery Company in the rifle match shot by them against the Dunedin Volunteer Artillery Company. The result is a victory for the Dunedin men by 91 points. From the report accompanying the scores, it appears that the weather at the longer ranges was boisterous, which will probably account for gquje of the low scores made by the Home Company, The conditions of the match were :—Seven shots, at ranges of 200, 500, and COO yards ; Hythe position throughout; Government rifles and ammunition. Sergt. Muir is the highest scorer of the local team, with 59 points ; and Private Hamilton tops the Hon. Artillery Corps’s score with 52. It was arranged that ten cups, suitably engraved, should be presented by the losing to the winning side ; and we have no doubt that “our” men will prize them exceedingly.
