THE GAS QUESTION.

Sir, —I, like many others here, hail witli delight the satisfactory letter from Mr A. K. Smith, appearing in the daily papers of the day. N.'.w I should like to sec the report to which his leit.T refers. Also, I. should like to see if Mr Smith thinks the Corporation can supply gas to private consumers. If no answer appear, I shall understand that we are deceived,—Yours obediently, A Gas Consumer.
