SAXBY'S PREDICTIONS.
To the Editor of the hveniag Star. Sir —Your correspondent “Pro BonoPullieo” suggests, “if there is any truth in spiritualism,” it would be a matter of no great difficulty to obtain some information
as to the expected high tide on the sth! October. Allow me to say that we might have full confidence in the truth of spiritualism, and at the same time he unable, with its aid, to look into futurity. For the information of your correspondent, I would state that life in the spirit-lard is governed by laws precisely similar to those which pertain to the affairs of this world, and that communications from disembodied spirits are not necessarily infallible truth- — that, in fact, although life in the spiritworld is of purer and nobler uses that on this earth, still we have no reason to believe that the disincarnate spirits of earth are favored with the gift of pre science. We are quite capable of reasoning and of coming to a correct conclusion, iu regard to the subject in question, without appealing to our spirit-friends. We know from experience the result of similar occurrences. I am, &c., A Spiritualist.
