In wheat we note sales of Tasmanian at Is 9d ; Victorian at 6s 3d to 6s 4d ; and Adelaide at 6s 6d per bushel; 6s3d being subse-

quently refused for a parcel of Victorian. The market will be tried at auction to-morrow with both wheat and flour. Oats in good demand ; sales of trade lots at 4s 4A<l ; and 4s 4d paid for a parcel of New Zealand. _ Of maize sales are reported of some _o,ooo bags, in trade parcels, at 4s 4.V1 and 4s sd, and 4s 0d is now asked by some holders. Trade paicols of malt have been quitted at 9s -!. VI per bushel. Candles have been bought up to a considerable extent at 10.UI for Brandon’s De Roubaix, and other best brands, while this price has been refused by many holders, and Iffjd is asked. Kerosene continues in active request. Sa’es have been effected of a lino of 000 cases Comet at Is lid, of parcels of Oriental at Is 10.V1 and Is lid, and of Downer’s at 2s Id ; 2s Id lias also been refused for Downer’s, and Is lid for Dcvoe’s. Tbo damaged sugar, ex Sidonie, sold at auction to-day, realised prices sustaining late advances. Some 2000 bags sound Mauritius, balances ex sundry vessels, be offered at auction to-morrow. Chinese oil firm at 4s. A parcel of Honncssy’s pale brandy, hogsheads and quarter-casks, was placed at 7s 7Ad per gallon.
