Th& Gothenburg left Melbourne at 4 p.m. on the 19 th inst., passed the Heads at 7 p.m., and Swan Tdand at 5 p.m. next day ; experienced file weather throughout; sighted the S.W. Cape at 7 a.m. on the 24th ; and entered Bluff Harbor at 11.30 p.m. the same day. She brings 250 tons of cargo, 15 saloon but no steerage passengers, for all ports. Passengers for Dunedin: —Mr and Mrs Logan and family, Mrs Spedding, Miss Fletcher, Messrs Wentworth, Gardiner, and Thormon. The Gothenburg has 180 tons of cargo for Dunedin. She sails at 3 p.m.

The Alhambra was steaming up Hobson’s Bay as the Gothenburg was leaving. The Tararua leaves Melbourne ou the 28th inst.

T. Clarke is seriously indisposed. Hugh Glass’s estate shows a surplus of L 300,000. Five banks have agreed to carry him through his difficulties.

Commercial.—The wool sales have been dull, A cargo of Cape raisins fetched 3£d. Barley sells at 5 s sd. Kerosene is dull of sale, and no transactions have taken place. Oats are firm at from 3s lOd to 4s. Flours nominal at LI 3 10s. Maize sells at 4s Id. Candles have declined to 10|d. Trade is generally dull, Sydney, June 18. The markets are dull. Auction sales of sugar show a decline of LI, Captain Horell’s case is to be argued before the full Court on Tuesday next.

A railway collision took place at Elko. Fifteen carriages were smashed Eight persons were killed and a number wounded.
