WASTE LANDS BOARD.
At the meeting of the Waste Land Board to-day, it was resolved that the unsold lands in Queenstown should be surveyed as soon as possible. The resolutions of the Town Council of Queenstown relative to granting bush licenses on the One-mile and Three-mile Creeks were referred to the Secretary of Land and Works.
On the application from Wetherstones, for approval of certain improvements, it was resolved that the land be withdrawn from sale, and that they be advertised for sale at Lawrence, on the 30th July. Mr Nicholson was directed to be auctioneer. The valuation was approved of. It was resolved to refuse certain applications for assessment on runs, and to put them up to auction on Wednesday, July 20. The upset price to be hereafter decided upon, and the runs to be subject to assessment as made and usual under the terms of the Waste Lands Regulations Act. Run 425 to be divided into two by the corner of the ridge. The sale to take place in the Land Office.
The survey of block 8, Waitahuna, was approved, and the laud was ordered to be open for application.
