(To the Editor of the Evening Star. ) Sir, —Al'ow me, as landlord of the Bay View Hotel, Maitland street, to mention through your columns, that Richard Gee did not steal a decanter containing brandy from the bar of my hotel.—l am, &c., Adam Anderson. Bay View Hotel, Dunedin, 17tb June, 1569. [The name of the hotel from which the decanter was stolen was the Maitland Hotel, and not the Bay View Hotel, as stated by us in error last night.— Ed. E. S.]
