Wellington, Thursday.
The Wanganui Times says ; —“ Mr Booth arrived in town last evening, bringing intelligence that the expedition up the Pa tea river succeeded in capturing the rebel chief Tauroa, 46 men, and 76 women and children. The men were armed but very short of ammunition. No resistance was offered. They were brought down to Patea yesterday in about twenty canoes, which were looted. Mr Booth conjes down to ascertain the instructions of the Government relative to the contract for the supply of food and clothing.
