Brokers: Richard Creeth, Evans Kennelly and Co. Office : Temple Chambers, Princes-st., Dunedin. T’lE object the promoters of the Company have in view is to work the celebrated claim known as Miller, Pinkerton and Co.’s, immediately adjoining that of the prospectors of the Scandinavian Reef, so famous for its rich returns. The present shareholders of this claim, nine in number, agree to accept the moderate sum of £3500 for their rights, and take the price out in paid-up shares, and also make additional investments, so confident are they of the value of this property ; the sole object in forming a company, being to introduce capital for the proper and immediate development of the ciaiv . The claim extends 405 feet along the reef, and very rich quartz has been struck in the two prospecting shafts. The proprietors are now putting in a tunnel from the hill side, in order to cut across the reef and its main leader, which runs parallel with the reef, when a very large > body of rich quartz will be immediately available- abundance of timber can be had on the spot for all requirements. The i-r richest quartz struck by the adjoining ;■ claim —the Scandinavian Company is in 1 the shaft immediately adjoining the =, boundaries of this claim, and the reef here j. is over four feet wide ; the stone from it shows gold likely to give a yield of from ten to twelve ounces to the ton ; this is the estimate formed by good judges who have examined the claim. The prospects .obtained from the stone already struck show excellent results. The claim is one of three situate betw66B the Scandinavian Co. s and Messrs Perry, Watt and Co.’s, but immediately adjoining the former, and arrangements to amalgamate can be entered into with the intermediate sections. The facilities for working the cl aim cheap]' are very great —no expensive shafts bein< required—and the quartz taken out from the tunnels can readily be conveyed b? means of a tramway and shoots to the crushing machine. A valuable Water Right is attached tt this claim, which takes up the water a: ... it leaves Messrs Perry and Co.’s machine V., and can be made available for crushing •etone for other Companies. • Forms of applications for shares can b. obtained from the Brokers of the Com paujtet. Mr Pd chard Creeth, or Messi ’ and Co., Temple Cham bers,. Princes street, Dunedin. A large number of shares have alrcacb hWeJi. applied for, and the Share List wii. remain* open but a short time.
