Evans Kennedy-and Co. ‘This Company is registered under' the Mining Companies Limited Liability Act, 1865, and is formed for the purpose of working the valuable claim known as “ Polkinghom’s, ” situate on the Monroe’s side of the celebrated Blue Spur, Tuapeka. The ground purchased by > this Company consists of 4a. Or. 30p. of highly aurifererous land. Considerable works of • a benefical nature have been executed on the property. A capital face has been opened of 300 feet in length, consisting of blue and red cement ; and in a shaft sunk some 60 feet, higher up, to a depth of SO feet, the aixriferous blue and red cement continue throughout, thus satisfactorily testingthe value of the property. The claim is situate in the centre of a very rich locality. It is bounded on one side by “Holy Joe’s” Gully, and on-the'" other by Golden 1 Gully, both of which have been rendered famous by the fact of heavy finds of , gold having been made therein ; and further, the various claims now being worked on the boundaries of the - property, by various parties, are all yielding good returns. The ; purchase money for the claim arid all rights and . privileges, has' been fixed at £2OOO, for the whole of which the proprietor, as an earnest of his confidence in the undertaking, has accepted paid-up shares of of the Company ; the .balance, 150 shares, are offered to the public, and the capital represented thereby is considered more than ample to-de-velope the resources of this extensive and valuable claim. Washing-up will take place at frequent intervals, and dividends declared with, as little delay as possible. Applications for shares can be made in the annexed form, to Mr Richard Creeth; or to Messrs Evans, Kennelly and Co, Temple Chambers, Princes st, Dunedin, Brokers to the Company.
