The amounts added together make up tile LIO,OOO which Rad. accumulated at the date of the passing of the Act to Amend the Law relating to the Pensions of Responsible Officers, which act obtained the Royal assent on the 27th of January, 1865. By the terms of the statute* all sums not claimed within a year from the date of the passing of the act, shall be paid into the consolidated revenue. Down till ’ yesterday afternoon the following gentlemen only had claimed and obtained their respective payments, viz. :—Messrs Greeves, 'Martiey, Fellows, Wood, Aspinall, Horne, Parley, Werdon, Michie, Anderson,’ Miller, Mooi-e, and Loader.
